THREADS OF DEVOTION — A live, community-built installation created as a featured guest artist for the annual Love is Love block party.

Inspired by traditional prayer flags and the intimacy of clotheslines woven through my own community history, the work reimagined public space as a site of collective blessing. Patrons were invited to write a “love note” — to self, to family, to romance, to community — whatever love meant to them in that moment. Each participant selected from an array of pre-prepared fabrics, yarns, and textured materials giving their words a tactile body. Over a 5 hour period, over 100 notes were hung one by one, forming an evolving tapestry of color, texture, and devotion.
